A Whataburger fan-favorite is staging a comeback after more than four years.

The pico de gallo burger returns for a limited time Tuesday, June 3, at participating Whataburger restaurants nationwide, according to the Texas-based burger chain.

The sandwich — featuring a beef patty topped with pico de gallo, pepper jack cheese and a creamy cilantro lime sauce — will head back to menus as part of the brand’s 75th anniversary celebration, Whataburger said in a news release.

It was last offered in late June 2020.

Customers can swap the beef for a crispy chicken patty, if they prefer, the chain said.

Pricing information wasn’t immediately available.

The pico de gallo burger is the latest item to come out of the “WhataVault” in recent months. The Monterey Melt and chicken fajita taco returned for a limited-time run in January, followed by other menu favorites including the mushroom Swiss burger and banana pudding milkshake, McClatchy News reported.

It marked the shake’s first comeback since it was last offered in 2023, Whataburger said at the time.

Customers can find the pico de gallo burger in-restaurant and online for a limited time, though Whataburger did not say for how long.
