Hardee’s rolls out new breakfast biscuit — and fans sound off. ‘This is too far’
Fans of Hardee’s breakfast can sink their teeth into a new biscuit.
The restaurant shared news of the strawberry lemon biscuit’s arrival March 5, though the springtime offering wasn’t what some Hardee’s fans had hoped for.
The limited-time offering is “loaded with strawberry and lemon flavor” and topped with icing, according to the restaurant’s website. It’s available all day and comes as a single biscuit or two-pack option.
Pricing information wasn’t immediately available.
McClatchy News reached out to Hardee’s for more information March 7 and was awaiting a response.
The strawberry lemon biscuit drew mixed reactions from customers, with some begging for the return of Hardee’s cinnamon ‘n’ raisin biscuit instead.
“Nothing can match the cinnamon raisin!” a Facebook user commented on the restaurant’s post announcing its newest biscuit.
“This is too far,” another person wrote. “We simply asked for cinnamon raisin biscuits and you guys went off the deep end. Stick to what we actually asked for please.”
The beloved biscuit reappeared in 2023 after a more than 20-year hiatus, McClatchy reported. It was last offered in November, returning alongside candied bacon for a limited time.
One customer implored Hardee’s to ”stop messing around with useless gap fillers” and bring back the cinnamon n’ raisin biscuit for good.
Another said citrus wasn’t their preferred flavor, writing: “I DO NOT like lemon, bring back CRB!”
Hardee’s hasn’t said if or when the cinnamon ‘n’ raisin biscuit will head back to menus.
