A Nebraska woman is accused of holding a man captive and stabbing him in the face with a soldering iron, police said.
Lincoln police officers responded Feb. 14 to a 911 call from a woman who said she could hear a man in a neighboring apartment screaming for help and pounding on the wall, News-Press Now reported, citing a probable cause affidavit.
After arriving at the scene, officers could hear two people arguing and a man screaming “Help” and “Let me out,” KLKN reported citing court records.
Authorities said Lisa Beverly let the officers in where they found a 60-year-old man bleeding from the head, the outlet reported.
The man told police Beverly showed up at his house the day before accusing him of dating her friend, KOLN reported.
He told police she then stabbed him in the face with a soldering iron and struck him in the head with a laptop and a coffee pot, according to the outlet.
