A 35-year-old employee was fired from his job, but frequently returned throughout the day to harass and threaten his former co-workers, Texas police said.

The last time the man showed up on Nov. 18, he started to assault a co-worker in the parking lot, Corpus Christi police said.

Margarito Cisneros, his 53-year-old former co-worker, stabbed him, causing life-threatening injuries, police said in a Nov. 19 news release. The former employee was rushed to the hospital.

During prior visits to his former place of work that day, the 35-year-old man would lob threats at the employees, leading them to call police, the news release said. He would run off before officers could arrive.

Cisneros was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said.

Corpus Christi is about a 145-mile drive southeast from San Antonio.
