Motorcyclist missing for days found dead after apparent crash, Utah police say
A 35-year-old man missing for several days was found dead following an apparent motorcycle crash, Utah police reported.
Eduardo Gutierrez Nava was first reported missing Tuesday, Oct. 29, the Cedar City Police Department said in a news release.
On Saturday, Nov. 2, a volunteer searcher discovered his body with his wrecked motorcycle on Highway 14, just east of Cedar City, police said in a second news release.
A preliminary investigation suggested Gutierrez Nava lost control of his motorcycle and crashed, police said.
It’s not clear when the crash took place, police told KTVX.
A GoFundMe established to aid his family described Gutierrez Nava as “a dedicated father, an honored Marine, and someone deeply cherished by his family and friends.”
Cedar City is about a 250-mile drive southwest from Salt Lake City.
