Student attacked and left unconscious in college campus parking lot, WA officials say

A stranger attacked a student while she was in a parking lot on a college campus, Washington officials said.

Shortly after 8 p.m. on Oct. 21, a student was walking in a Washington State University parking lot when she was grabbed from behind, according to an Oct. 28 Facebook post by campus police.

Then the stranger choked the student until she lost consciousness, officials said.

When she woke up, she was in the same place where the attack began, officials said.

The student also said she may have been sexually assaulted, campus police said.

She did not see the suspect so there is no description available, officials said.

Washington State University is in Pullman, about a 290-mile drive southeast from Seattle.
