Dogs attack and critically injure 3-year-old in Minnesota, police say

A 3-year-old in Minnesota was left critically injured after being attacked by two dogs, police say.

Brooklyn Park police were called around 12:45 p.m. July 19 for reports that a 3-year-old was being attacked by a dog, according to a Facebook post by the police department.

When officers arrived, they found two dogs “actively attacking” the child.

Several officers shot at the dogs, killing one and injuring the other, police said.

The child was taken to a hospital where they were last listed in critical condition, according to police.

Police are still investigating.

The injured dog was taken to an animal care facility, police said.

Brooklyn Park is about a 10-mile drive northwest of Minneapolis.
