A former TSA employee was at Tulsa International Airport on March 5 when she left a threatening note in a bathroom before the security checkpoint, federal officials said.

The handwritten note read, “There is Bomb in this airport,” according to the indictment unsealed July 9.

Approximately two weeks later, on March 23, Sharon Jean Devine dropped a similar note in the airport’s restroom, according to the indictment. This note read, “Bomb in Airport,” according to the indictment.

Devine’s attorney did not immediately respond to McClatchy News’ request for comment.

“Every time a threat is made, a sophisticated law enforcement response is set into motion to ensure public safety,” Acting Special Agent in Charge Jason Kaplan of the FBI Oklahoma City Field Office said in a news release.

Tulsa International Airport said it immediately secured the area after learning of the notes and found no threat, officials said. During an investigation, they identified Devine as a suspect, according to officials.

“Bomb hoaxes like the ones alleged to have been fabricated by the defendant put the community at risk and will not be tolerated,” Kaplan said.

Devine was charged with two counts of false information and hoaxes, according to court records. If convicted, she faces up to five years in prison.
