Dad shoots, kills 29-year-old son when he attacks with baseball bat, Ohio cops say
A 63-year-old dad was arrested after being accused of fatally shooting his son in Ohio, officials said.
Just after 9 p.m. June 26, Olmsted Township officers responded to a home on reports of a domestic violence incident between the man and his 29-year-old son, according to a Facebook post by police.
The man reported that his son was attacking him with a baseball bat, officials said.
He said he’d shot his son in the chest, officers said.
When police entered the home, they found the man with a gunshot wound and began life-saving measures, officials said.
The man later died at a hospital, officials said.
The father was taken into custody without incident outside the home, officials said.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officers said charges are pending.
