Woman is shot in the neck by man she was with at Olive Garden, Michigan cops say
A woman was taken to a hospital after she was shot in the neck inside an Olive Garden restaurant, Michigan police say.
Officers arrived at an Olive Garden in Midland two minutes after the shooting was reported at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 2, according to the Midland Police Department. Police said they found a 41-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.
She was taken to a hospital, but police did not provide an update on her condition.
A man she was with, police said, initially resisted arrest. He was eventually placed in custody in the restaurant.
Police have not identified the couple, saying the shooting was an “isolated, domestic-related incident.”
The 41-year-old man, from Westland, was taken to the Midland County Jail and was awaiting his arraignment, police said. Charges have not been announced.
Officers said the shooting remained under investigation as of late Sunday.
Midland is about a 115-mile drive northeast from Grand Rapids.
