Dog left ‘traumatized’ after being abandoned by dumpster. Now Bane needs a new home
A “chill” dog who was left in a rotten situation is looking for a loving, forever home, and one Illinois shelter is on the case.
Tails Humane Society is on the hunt on behalf of a 9-year-old pup named Bane, who was left near a dumpster because his owner could no longer take care of him, a May 26 Facebook post read.
“I’m Bane, a wonderful, wonderful boy who feels pretty traumatized after losing my home,” the post sadly said. “I’m so worried I’ll never have someone to love and care for me again. I’m a very chill guy who doesn’t ask for much at all. Going for walks is the highlight of my day, and the rest of the time I’m happy lounging around.”
According to the photo caption, Bane was found tied to the dumpster. He’s a mixed large breed who weighs over 44 pounds, his profile on Pet Place says.
“I don’t bark much, am house-trained and crate-trained, and I’ve been good with the children I’ve spent time with,” the post continues. “Other dogs, though, I’m not so fond of. I’m a good listener and want to please my people. Won’t you please let me come and live with you? If that isn’t possible, would you tell all your friends about me?”
For more information about Bane and other adoptable animals, more information can be found on the shelter’s website.
Tails Humane Society is located in DeKalb, Illinois, about a 65-mile drive west from Chicago.
