A McDonald’s customer went through the drive-thru to order an iced coffee, but was upset about his drink being made incorrectly, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The 33-year-old man then went into the fast-food restaurant in Latrobe at about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, police said.

Once inside the McDonald’s, the Latrobe man “began shouting and yelling using obscene language in front of employees, customers and children,” according to a police report.

A 32-year-old male employee refunded the customer and gave him a new iced coffee for the inconvenience, police said. The worker also told the customer not to return because of his behavior, according to the report.

The man responded by throwing the worker to the ground and hitting his face, police said. The worker’s hands were scraped and he got a black eye.

The customer faces charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

McDonald’s did not immediately respond to a request for comment from McClatchy News on Nov. 7.

Latrobe is about 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
