A 36-year-old woman hit two high school students with her SUV after her daughter said she was jumped, police in Nevada told multiple news outlets.

Fatima Mitchell was arrested on charges of attempted murder with a deadly weapon in Henderson on Monday, March 28, the Henderson Police Department said in an email to McClatchy News.

Her daughter is a student at Basic High School and told her mom she had been jumped by other students earlier that day, KLAS-TV reported.

Mitchell’s daughter then went back to the school to fight with another girl to “settle” their argument, FOX5 reported. That’s when she saw her mom’s Chevrolet Tahoe near the school, the outlet reported.

Mitchell is accused of finding a group of girls who fought her daughter at the high school and asking them “what’s up, who wants it?” before striking two teens with her SUV, KSNV reported.

One injured student was taken to the hospital and another was treated at the scene for minor injuries, police said.

“If anyone messes with my kids all I know is to take them out,” Mitchell told police, KLAS-TV reported.
