Carlos Manuel Robles-Lopez, 43, killed his parents in a “violent assault” inside their Anaheim, California, apartment, police said.

A 43-year-old man brutally beat his parents to death inside their Anaheim apartment, California police said.

Officers responding to reports of an assault about 7:50 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, found Carlos Manuel Robles-Lopez of Anaheim in the apartment where his parents lived, police said in a news release.

His 67-year-old father was dead and his 65-year-old mother died of her injuries at a hospital, police said.

Both had major injuries “consistent with a violent assault,” Sgt. Shane Carringer told KTTV. Police said their son also lived at the apartment “off and on.”

Officers arrested Robles-Lopez without incident on suspicion of double murder, police said. He is in jail on $1 million bail.

Police ask that anyone with information on the incident call Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-847-6227.
