Of 5 lottery winners, 3 came from South Florida and 2 of those from Publix
Editor's Note: Lottery luck bombs hit one big money Florida Lottery draw game with five jackpot winners in one day.
That day wasn’t Wednesday, when nobody hit the Powerball or Florida Lotto numbers. That’ll push the Florida Lotto jackpot to $22.5 million for Saturday’s drawing.
The day of widespread fortune was Tuesday, and the game was Fantasy 5.

Tuesday’s evening draw numbers came up a celebration of sequential numbers — 22, 23, 24, 33, 34 — that was on tickets from: a North Miami Publix, 12800 Biscayne Blvd.; a Palm Beach Gardens Publix, 4101 Hood Rd.; a Jacksonville Publix, 5858 Atlantic Blvd.; and a Boynton Beach 7-Eleven, 2605 W. Woolbright Rd. Each ticket was worth $28,085.
The four-way split of the evening draw created the unusual circumstance of the midday draw jackpot ticket being worth more than twice the day’s evening jackpot tickets. A player at the Palm Coast Winn-Dixie, 111 Flagler Plaza Dr., won $59,052 by holding a ticket with 9, 16, 23, 30 and 31.
These tickets must be cashed at one of the nine Florida Lottery offices. The Miami office is in Miami Lakes, 14621 Oak Ln., and can be reached at 305-364-3080 or MIARC@flalottery.com. The office in Palm Beach County is in Palm Springs, 4360 Forest Hill Blvd. and can be reached at 561-640-6190 or WPBRC@flalottery.com. The Jacksonville office is at 8206 Philips Hwy., and can be reached at 904-448-4760 and JACRC@flalottery.com.
Appointments can be made, but aren’t required. The above offices are open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
