Somebody won $10 million in a Saturday night Florida Lottery drawing

Saturday’s big-money Florida Lottery jackpot win involved a double rarity.

Rare that two players beat the 1-in-292,201,338 odds to split a Powerball jackpot, and rare that those odds get beaten two drawings in a row.

Nobody won either Fantasy 5 jackpot. And the Florida Lotto top prize for Wednesday’s drawing will be $21.25 million — that’s actually more than Saturday’s Powerball jackpot, restarted at $20 million after players in Indiana and Kansas hit all the necessary numbers Wednesday.

On Saturday, two players had tickets with 25, 37, 42, 52, 65 and a Powerball of 14. One player was in Texas. The other bought a Quick Pick ticket at La Caribeña Restaurante Mini Market, 131 Buena Ventura Blvd. in Kissimmee. Each ticket is worth $10 million.

According to the Florida Lottery website, winning tickets over $1 million must be cashed at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee or a district office. The Orlando district office is at 1241 State Rd. 436 in Casselberry, and can be reached at 407-788-2202 or ORLRC@flalottery.com.
