I-75 South closed in Manatee County after fatal multi-vehicle crash, FHP says

The southbound lanes of Interstate 75 are closed in Manatee County on Monday morning due to a fatal multi-vehicle crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Florida traffic officials report that the crash happened just after 6:30 a.m. near Exit 220, State Road 64.

A traffic camera photo showed an overturned tractor-trailer across the interstate lanes. FHP said the crash involved at least one fatality.

Bradenton police alerted drivers about the crash around 8:25 a.m. on Monday, warning that southbound drivers will be “forced to exit” the interstate at State Road 64.

FHP is investigating the incident.
