Bradenton motorcyclist dies in crash with SUV. He wasn’t wearing a helmet, FHP says
A Bradenton man driving a motorcycle died in a crash with another car in South Bradenton on Sunday.
He was 31 years old and not wearing a helmet, Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened at 44th Avenue West and 5th Street West around 10 p.m.
The motorcyclist was heading east on the inside lane of 44th Avenue West, approaching the 5th Street West intersection that showed a red light, FHP said.
He hit the side of an SUV that a 22-year-old Bradenton woman was driving when she made a left turn onto the 5th Street West’s southbound lane on a green arrow traffic signal, FHP said.
She has minor injuries, while the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation, FHP said.
