A Bradenton man was killed after losing control of his motorcycle on I-75 ramp, FHP says

A Bradenton man is dead after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a retention pond, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a press release Saturday.

According to the release, the 35-year-old Bradenton man was going south on the Interstate 75 exit ramp, which links to State Road 70 in Bradenton, when he lost control of his motorcycle while making a turn.

His motorcycle veered off the road, flipped and plunged into a retention pond, the press release said.

The man died at the scene.

The exact date and time of the accident are unknown. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
