14th Street West in Bradenton reopens after a gas leak shut down a portion of the road
Update April 22: The Bradenton police department said Saturday at 12:40 p.m. that 14th Street West had reopened.
A natural gas leak shut down a portion of 14th Street West in Bradenton, and residences in the area are being evacuated, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said in a release on Saturday morning.
Drivers should avoid the area and use a different road as deputies and Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue work to sort out the leak.
The Bradenton Police Department has also gone to the site. According to police, the leak was a natural gas leak.
The road closure is on both sides of 14th Street West from 26th Ave. West to 30th Ave. West.
