I-75 exits will have closures overnight and next week in Manatee County, FDOT says
The Interstate 75 southbound off-ramp to U.S. 301 (Exit 224) in Manatee County will close Wednesday night into Thursday morning, the Florida Department of Transportation said Wednesday.
Drivers should use detour routes or other local routes while the ramp is closed.
In addition, there will be two road closures next week, according to an email from Brian Bollas, the FDOT community outreach manager.
▪ On Wednesday and Thursday nights, March 29 and 30, from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., crews will close the State Road 64 on-ramp to I-75 northbound.
On both days, drivers can take a detour from SR 64 to I-75 southbound to State Road 70 (Exit 217) and return to I-75 northbound or take another route.
Train track repair
Also next week, a section of Ninth Ave. W. in Bradenton will be closed to allow CSX to repair a train track, the Bradenton Police Department posted to Facebook on Wednesday.
The section of road that’ll close during the repairs is Ninth Ave. W. between Fifth and Sixth St. W.
Starting Tuesday at 6 a.m., the road will be closed until Wednesday at 5 p.m.
There will be detour signs, but drivers should expect traffic delays.
