Cortez Road reopens after gas leak shuts down traffic in both directions
Update Nov.2 : Manatee County Sheriff’s office said Tuesday at 2:34 that all lanes of Cortez Road had reopened.
A gas leak has shut down traffic on Cortez Road in Bradenton, the city said Tuesday.
The Florida Department of Transportation tweeted from its @941_traffic account at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday that an incident has closed all east and westbound lanes of Cortez Road.
The lanes are closed between 26th St. W. and 34th St. W.
“Please try to avoid this area and seek alternate routes,” the city tweeted.
