At 2:18 a.m. Tuesday, an SUV driver hit a woman walking “on the left turn lane” of U.S. 41 just south of Cortez Road in Manatee County, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
A 34-year-old woman from Palmetto drove the SUV, traveling north in the left turn lane.
