31-year-old Bradenton woman dies after 2 pedestrians hit crossing US 41 in Palmetto
A woman has died after two pedestrians were hit by a car on U.S. 41 in Palmetto, Florida Highway Patrol said Monday in a news release.
The crash happened at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday north of Buckeye Road.
A 31-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, both from Bradenton, were walking west across the northbound lane when a vehicle hit them.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, and he was taken to Blake Medical Center with serious injuries.
The crash is still under investigation, FPH said.
