Bradenton man injured while riding his bicycle after being hit by driver who fled
A hit-and-run took place in Bradenton early Friday morning.
An unnamed driver was traveling north on 14th Street West, south of 35th Avenue West, in the outside lane when they collided with a 30-year-old Bradenton man riding a bicycle, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.
The vehicle’s front hit the rear of the bicycle and the pedestrian sustained serious injuries, FHP said. The driver fled the scene in their vehicle, the report said.
Police said the victim was not wearing a helmet.
