Unstable railroad crossing signal causing traffic delays along U.S. 41, FHP says
An issue with a railroad crossing signal is causing traffic delays at U.S. 41 and Interstate-275 Friday evening, officials say.
The Florida Highway Patrol and the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area around 5:45 p.m, according to a release. An unstable overhead crossing signal is affecting southbound traffic.
The Florida Department of Transportation reports traffic delays in the area. Traffic camera footage shows troopers temporarily routing vehicles into a single northbound lane to avoid the unstable crossing.
Drivers are asked to seek an alternate route while workers repair the signal, FHP said.
