Crash near Sunshine Skyway Bridge slowed rush hour traffic
Congestion plagued motorists heading north onto the Sunshine Skyway Bridge Wednesday morning due to a three-vehicle crash after the toll booth and before the ascent onto the bridge.
Traffic backed up well into Manatee County as one northbound left lane was blocked for about an hour.
The crash was first reported around 8:20 a.m. and authorities cleared the scene around 9:20 a.m. with congestion lingering after the crash.
Three vehicles were towed from the scene. It was not known whether anyone was injured.
