Sunshine Skyway jumper's body recovered

MANATEE -- The body of woman who jumped off the northbound side of the Sunshine Skyway bridge has been recovered from Tampa Bay, according to officials.

The Coast Guard responded to the call, along with St. Petersburg Fire Rescue and Pinellas County Fire Rescue. St. Petersburg Fire Rescue was first on scene and was able to find the body.

The Florida Highway Patrol was dispatched at 9:01 a.m. Friday after receiving reports of a possible jumper and arrived on scene five minutes later.
