No injuries reported in vehicle crash in Palmetto
PALMETTO -- Two vehicles collided in Palmetto late Monday morning, but there was only a minor injury reported.
At 10:43 a.m., Palmetto police were called to respond to the crash at the intersection of 8th Avenue West and 10th Street West. There, they found a red GMC Sierra 1500 truck and a white Hybrid vehicle surrounded by car debris.
"The red truck turned in front of the white car," said Palmetto Officer Richard Wilson.
Wilson could not provide the ages of the drivers, but confirmed that the driver of the red truck is a juvenile.
EMS paramedics arrived and led the other driver to their truck for an evaluation.
"He had a little cut -- I think it was more from the air bags blowing," Wilson said.
Wilson said he wasn't sure yet about possible charges against the juvenile driver.
"He's probably going to get a violation of right-of-way ticket," he said. "But that'd be pretty much it."
Palmetto-based Steve White's Auto Repair arrived soon after to tow both vehicles and sweep the debris. The intersection was cleared by 11:18 a.m.
