Sarasota police identify Osprey woman killed in pedestrian crash

SARASOTA -- The Sarasota Police Department has identified an Osprey woman who died after a vehicle struck her on Thursday.

The vehicle struck Maureen Sloan, 51, in the 4800 block of North Tamiami Trail near the Family Inn at 9 p.m., according to a release.

The case remains under investigation, but the driver is cooperating with police.
