Woman struck by vehicle on Manatee Avenue West in Bradenton dies

BRADENTON -- A 24-year-old woman who was struck by a vehicle as she ran across Manatee Avenue West has died, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

Sarah Margarita Lofstrom ran across the 6600 block of Manatee Avenue West at 6:05 p.m. Friday and the driver did not see her, according to the police report.

Lofstrom was taken to Blake Medical Center in critical condition. She was pronounced dead at 1:37 p.m. Sunday.

A traffic homicide investigation is ongoing.
