Multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 northbound near Venice cleared

SARASOTA -- A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 northbound has been cleared after it was blocking all lanes Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. just south of the State Road 681 exit at mile marker 188 on I-75 in Venice, troopers said.

Both northbound lanes were cleared at 9:43 a.m., but traffic will likely be slow in that area.

Troopers did not mention if the crash involved any serious injuries.
