Bradenton woman awakens to drug charges after falling asleep with crack, heroin nearby

BRADENTON -- A 24-year-old Bradenton woman is facing drug charges after she was found passed out At 5:24 a.m. Tuesday in a shed with crack cocaine and heroin at her side, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

In the 1000 block of 21st Street Avenue West, police found Jasmine Vickers asleep in a shed, according to an arrest report. Vickers reportedly woke up when an officer spoke to her.

A crack pipe was reportedly near Vickers and crack cocaine, a syringe with a clear liquid inside and a lighter were also spotted when she stood up. The crack cocaine and pipe tested positive for cocaine and the syringe tested positive for heroin.

Vickers reportedly admitted the pipe and syringe were hers and she had been getting ready to smoke.

Vickers is charged with possession of cocaine, heroin and drug paraphernalia. She was held at the Manatee County jail on bonds totaling $3,500.
