Manatee Schools' interim Superintendent Diana Greene to be sworn in at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday

MANATEE -- Diana Greene will be sworn in as Manatee's new schools superintendent at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The school board Tuesday evening voted 5-0 to name Greene as interim superintendent. Once a one-year contract is negotiated and approved by the board, Greene will become acting superintendent, according to the school district.

Greene was deputy superintendent for instruction for two years under former Superintendent Rick Mills, who retired earlier this month.

Don Hall, the deputy superintendent for operations under Mills, had been the interim superintendent for two weeks since Mills left the district.

Greene's swearing in will be at the district's administration building, 215 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
