‘Miss Duffy’ gets support from family

It’s been a tough year for Pat Geyer, between her knee replacement, her husband Ed’s passing and losing her recent re-election bid for Holmes Beach commissioner.

So Patti, Pam, Peggi, Penni and Polli wrote this for their Duffy’s Tavern matriarch:

“Our role model, our hero, our mom ... she’s always been a winner, a trailblazer. While raising five daughters, she built a thriving business on Holmes Beach now nearly 39 years strong. And after 25 years as commissioner and mayor taught us the importance of public service.

“We are so proud of her many accomplishments, treasure her wisdom and cherish her love.

“We look forward to this new phase in mom’s life.”
