Bradenton woman charged with selling heroin, cocaine, prescription pills
SARASOTA -- A Bradenton woman was arrested on nearly a dozen drug charges after law enforcement officials learned she was selling heroin, cocaine and prescription pills in both Sarasota and Manatee counties, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.
Daisy Gallo, 35, was arrested late Tuesday morning in the 1700 block of North Lockwood Ridge Road in Sarasota. According to a release, undercover detectives met with Daisy Gallo twice over the past week in Sarasota to buy heroin.
"On each occasion, Gallo said she could also provide a wide variety of other illegal drugs," the release states. "Following today's purchase of heroin and Oxycodone pills, detectives arrested her without incident."
According to a report, Gallo's vehicle was searched and deputies found prescription pills, suspected cocaine, suspected methamphetamine, a glass pipe, a digital scale and a Smith & Wesson revolver. Deputies said Gallo is a convicted felon. In addition, detectives recovered five different Electronic Benefit Transfer cards belonging to other people.
Gallo was charged with three counts for the sale of heroin within 1,000 feet of a daycare, sale of Oxycodone within 1,000 feet of a daycare, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of Buprenorphine, and one count each of possession with intent to sell rock cocaine, methamphetamine, hydrocodone, morphine, diazepam and suboxone, according to a release.
Gallo was being held in Sarasota County jail on bonds totaling $128,000, according to the sheriff's office website.
