Manatee County COVID-19 testing site is moving. Here’s where to get tested in Bradenton
The location for free COVID-19 testing is being relocated again, Manatee County officials announced.
Starting Monday, Jan. 9, residents seeking a free test for COVID-19 must visit the Florida Department of Health campus at 410 Sixth Ave. E., Bradenton.
The site will provide tests between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
According to county officials, Manatee County Government’s COVID-19 testing locations have tested more than 213,000 residents and visitors since the pandemic began. In recent weeks, demand for COVID-19 tests has decreased significantly, with the sole location seeing fewer than 25 guests a day.
The relocation of the county’s COVID-19 testing site comes after previous changes that saw government officials close the sites at the Bradenton Area Convention Center and John Marble Park.
Recent changes have also made it easier to order free at-home COVID-19 tests from the federal government or from your pharmacy with medical insurance. For more information, visit www.covid.gov.
The last day to receive COVID-19 testing at the current site at 1301 Eighth Ave. W., Bradenton will be Saturday, Jan. 7.
Guests may also visit one of the following locations to receive COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots:
- 410 Sixth Ave. E., Bradenton
- 7780 Westmoreland Drive (corner of Westmoreland and U.S. 41)
