Suicide more likely on a Monday, CDC says. But Sunday is for murder

Americans were more likely to commit suicide on a Monday and Tuesday than any other day of the week in 2015, according to national statistics reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. But Sunday was the most likely day for homicide.

Motor vehicle injury deaths were more likely to occur on Saturdays, the CDC reported. On average, 103 motor vehicle deaths, 121 suicides and 49 homicides occurred each day in 2015.

In Florida, health officials reported 3,205 suicides, 1,208 homicides and 3,006 motor vehicle injury deaths in 2015.
