No injuries reported after Manatee school bus crashes into pole
A Manatee County school bus struck a pole Tuesday afternoon at Florine J Abel Elementary School, according to Manatee County School District spokesman Mike Barber.
“It was just a minor accident. There were no injuries. Apparently when it was getting ready to pull out, it went into a pole,” Barber said, adding that the bus was inspected after the incident. “They were going to send a Connect Ed (electronic phone message) to the parents of the students on the bus to let them know the bus was expected to be running late.”
Barber said the incident happened in the elementary school’s parking lot. The school is located at 7100 Madonna Place in southern Manatee County.
Barber was unable to provide the number of students on the bus at the time of the crash.
