More than 500 pounds of school supplies will make their way into some of neediest Manatee County classrooms, thanks to a donation made to the Manatee County School District’s Title I Graduation Enhancement Technicians by MCR Health Services Associates.

Back 2 School collection bins have been in place at MCR locations since July 23 and employees and clients were encouraged to make donations, including backpacks, paper, crayons, scissors, pencils, pens, glue, markers, folders, and erasers. Donations also included hand sanitizer and tissues.

Graduation Enhancement Technicians were first employed in the Manatee County School District for the 2015-16 year, in order to help the district’s 25 Title I school improve daily attendance rates, as part of the district’s involvement with the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading.
