State College of Florida librarian named to state committee

Mark Marino, a librarian at the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, has been appointed to serve on a state committee,

The Collection Management and E-Resources for the Members Council on Library Services is charged with recommending which e-resources will be licensed for all college and university libraries, budgeting for subscriptions, recommending ways to help build the Florida College System and the State University System, and coordinating with state Academic Library Service staff and other committees, according to officials.

This appointment is for three and a half years beginning July 1.

Marino’s appointment offers opportunities to help with statewide college and university library issues, develop leadership and collaborative working skills, and to participate in the continuing development of the Florida Academic Library Services Cooperative, officials said.
