Principal, assistant principal jobs in Manatee County full
The principal and assistant principal positions in the Manatee County School District are all filled as soon the Manatee County School Board approves the newest slate of assistant principal promotions and hires.
After shuffling existing principals and promoting assistant principals to fill principal vacancies, the school district had 10 open assistant principal spots. Nine are being filled by people who already work in the district.
The 10 named assistant principals:
- Todd Blackmore, student support specialist at Bayshore Elementary, will now be assistant principal at Bayshore Elementary.
- Carla Fox, student support specialist at Palma Sola Elementary, will now be assistant principal at Freedom Elementary.
- Billie Jo Tyne-Fintel, instructional specialist, will now be assistant principal at Willis Elementary.
- Krista Francies, student support specialist at Blackburn Elementary School, will be assistant principal at Braden River Elementary.
- Carol Ricks, student support specalist at Witt Elementary, will be assistant principal at McNeal Elementary.
- Toni Schroer, student support specialist at Oneco, will be assistant principal at Rogers Garden-Bullock.
- Matt Whelden, a new hire, will be assistant principal at Braden River High.
- Kathleen Brown, a dean at Manatee High, will be assistant principal at Manatee High.
- Quantas Simmons, principal at Manatee Charter School, will be assistant principal at Sugg Middle.
- Shelly Decesare, a dean at Southeast High School, will be assistant principal at Southeast High.
