Blake Medical Center Auxiliary awards $24,000 in scholarships

Fifteen Manatee County students were given scholarships from the Blake Medical Center Auxiliary Inc. to help the students pursue medical careers.

The volunteer nonprofit awarded $24,000 to the 15 students May 18 at Blake.

Students awarded scholarships: Ludonir Sebastiany, June Rayford, Melissa Jean Baptiste, Nereida Valle, Madeline Kaklis, Emily Waikem, Amanda Peeples, Anna Ammons, Allison Cosgrove, Jennifer Eziefuoh, Lindsey Goneau, Joanna Gonzalez, Molly Knight, Aimee McCrary-Grap and Carly Taylor.
