Kallins, Little, Delgado law firm awards scholarship money to local students
Ten Manatee County students have won $15,000 worth of scholarships from law firm Kallins Little and Delgado.
A $1,000 scholarship was presented in memory of the Rev. James “Tripp” Battle to Monica C. Gilley of Bayshore High School.
Olivia Haughey of Manatee High School received a $3,000 scholarship.
Gracey Wilson, Lakewood Ranch High School, Christian Zanders, Palmetto High School and Abby Afsahi, Southeast High School, each received $2,000 scholarships.
Meredith Robers and Sydney Johnson, Manatee High School; Vincent Rehfeldt, Bradenton Christian High School; Estefani Olvera of Bayshore High School; and Elijah Bowers, Braden River High School, all received $1,000 scholarships.
The is the 11th year for the Kallins Little Delgado Scholarship Program. Scholarships totaling $163,000 have been given to 112 students.
