Manatee Technical College offers security officer training
Manatee Technical College Workforce Initiative will offer a class D security officer training course in June.
After finishing the 40-hour course, students will be eligible to apply for a class “D” security license and employment. Recruiters will be on campus upon completion of class.
The course meets state licensing requirements to earn an unarmed private security officer license and qualifies applicants to apply for the license through the Florida Division of Licensing. The course covers regulation of the industry, department rules, licensing criteria and techniques of security.
Classes will be held 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, June 3, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 4, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, June 6-8 at the MTC Main Campus, 6305 State Road 70 East in Bradenton. The five-day course costs $199.
