Tillman Elementary School in Palmetto receives $5,000

PALMETTO -- The entire student body at Tillman Elementary School in Palmetto was treated to a barbecue picnic lunch Friday and the school received a $5,000 check.
The money comes from the Pittsburgh Pirates and Mosaic Co. in the Adopt-a-School Program through the Manatee Education Foundation.
Prizes, games, dancing and Marty, the Bradenton Marauders' mascot, were all on hand.
