Manatee County students prepare for Odyssey of the Mind state competition

MANATEE -- After a local level of the competition, four Manatee County schools will send teams of students to the state Odyssey of the Mind competition.

Odyssey of the Mind is a worldwide problem-solving competition that challenges students to use creativity to solve certain problems.

Wakeland Elementary School is sending three teams to state, State College of Florida Collegiate School is sending two teams, St. Joseph Catholic School is sending two teams and five teams from Rowlett Academic For Arts and Communication are going to the state competition.

The state tournament will be held at the University of Central Florida in Orlando in April.
