Despite a rain shower which prevented the orchestra from playing, Braden River Middle School's 15th annual Veteran's Day ceremony was a lively, patriotic event. Guest speakers Steven Garcia of the USMC and assistant principal Ray Shaw shared stories of their respect and admiration for veterans and the 8th grade band played the "Star Spangled Banner." Just as the ceremony came to a close, rain sent the crowds hurrying to shelter. Max Dotson remained, alone in the downpour, and played TAPS on his trumpet.
