Manatee School District announces new assistant principals for 2020-2021 school year

The School District of Manatee County has announced its new assistant principals for the upcoming year.

All of the new assignments are effective July 1, according to a news release that was published on Wednesday afternoon.

“I would like to congratulate these excellent educators on their new assignments,” said Genelle Zoratti-Yost, deputy superintendent of instructional services, in a prepared statement.

Each assignment is for the 2020-2021 school year. The announcement included seven elementary and K-8 schools, along with two middle schools and two high schools.

Elementary and K-8 Schools

  • Betsy Bickel-Perry, the reading coach at Tara Elementary School, will become an assistant principal at Myakka City Elementary School.
  • Maria Cuffaro, an instructional specialist for the district, will become an assistant principal at Bayshore Elementary School.
  • Katie Fradley, an instructional specialist for the district, will become an assistant principal at Ballard Elementary School.
  • Rhonda Mau, the school coordinator at Mills Elementary School, will become an assistant principal at Willis Elementary School.
  • Jennifer Moore, the School of Hope coordinator at Palm View Elementary School, will become an assistant principal at Manatee Elementary School.
  • Adrienne Scott, a student support specialist at Abel Elementary School, will become an assistant principal at Johnson K-8 School.
  • Melissa Walls, a student support specialist at Daughtrey Elementary School, will become an assistant principal at the same campus.

Middle Schools

  • Minetha Brown, a dean at Southeast High School, will become an assistant principal at Nolan Middle School.
  • Bethany Gerber, a dean at Bayshore High School, will become an assistant principal at Dr. Mona Jain Middle School.

High Schools

  • Paul Champagne, a dean at Parrish Community High School, will become an assistant principal at the same campus.
  • Anthony Pipino, a dean at Bayshore High School, will become an assistant principal at Southeast High School.

“I know each of them will bring energy and enthusiasm to their new positions and I look forward to them having a positive impact on their students and school communities,” Yost said in the news release.
