State College of Florida hires new VP, director of finance
The State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, filled two administrative roles in recent weeks.
The college on Thursday announced Scott Parke as its new vice president of planning and institutional effectiveness. Parke will focus on information technology, research analysis and institutional planning, according to a press release from the college.
“SCF is recognized as a high-performing college and has an impressive track record for delivering quality programs and services,” Parke said. “I look forward to partnering with colleagues to help provide the information that directly bolsters student success.”
Parke, who comes to SCF from Collin College in Texas, previously was the associate vice chancellor for research and analytics at the Florida Department of Education from 2012 to 2015. While there he helped develop the strategic plan for the Florida College System.
In June, the college promoted assistant finance director Lou Woroch to be director of finance. Woroch said he hoped to make the finance department more easily accessed for SCF employees.
“My goal is to ensure continued accountability and transparency by making financial reports and other documents available on SCF’s website,” Woroch said. “As a CPA it is my duty to ensure public trust.”
